The ideal candidate will have 5
years of multi-family Property Manager experience.
A manager who has run properties with 400
units.
We are looking for a candidate who possesses strong interpersonal and business communication skills, a high level of organization and attention to detail, the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and is competent with office management software.
This position is responsible for protecting, maintaining, and enhancing the value of the multi-family property.
We are looking for a candidate with previous Property Manager experience and who can perform the following duties:
Responsibilities:
Oversee all activities and responsibilities of community employees.
Pre-lease units for move-in upon rehab completion.
Manage employees, including recruiting, training, performance evaluation, coaching and counseling, and termination.
Prepare the timely and accurate preparation of all required reports and forms.
Enter and/or track activity in property management software.
Review financial statements on a monthly basis.
Prepare general ledger corrections.
Communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and residents.
Purchase supplies, maintaining expenses within budget, and obtaining bids on appropriate community projects.
Ensure accuracy and receipt of supplies and approve all invoices for payment.
Process invoices.
Able to handle resident complaints professionally and calmly.
Assists team mates if the occasion calls for you to step in.
Maintain working knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations concerning apartment leasing and management (i.
e.
fair housing, collections, evictions, towing, etc.
)Always maintain courteous and helpful attitude to residents, prospective residents, and co-workers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
5
years of Multifamily Property Manager experience working on A or B propertiesMust have run a property with a minimum of 400
units.
If you had more units, that is a plus.
Word, Excel and Outlook experience a must.
Yardi Voyager/CRM/Onsite preferredHas experienced working with budgets, marketing properties, fair housing laws.
Great track recording of managing staff both field and office by being a strong/friendly leader who appreciates their team and recognizes their hardwork and dedication.
Should have a solid understanding of how to perform each office position (i.
e.
leasing, renewals, collections, resident relations, resident events, etc.
)Excellent leadership skills from a positive perspective and team leader attitude
